THE COLLABORATORS

It's a lonely life being a one-man band. Sometimes you just need a friend to pep up your piece.
Here are some of the other voices, violinists and voyagers on the Son of Jack journey.

GREGORY JACKSON

Vocals, Violin and Slide

Brother Greg contributed his beautiful violin skills and some backing vocals too on the first album "This is The Sound of Masimo". You can hear his violin work on "This Is No Protest Song" and his harmonies on "Dead Men on Vinyl". He also plays slide guitar on "The Superman" from 2003's "Welcome to Masimo Country".

NATALIE JACKSON

Vocals

Mrs J sings on three tracks: "Cupcakes and Wine" (Songs From The Shack, 2009), "The Right and the Wrong" (Fragments of Matter, 2011) and "Roads alternate vocal version" (Variants, 2022). I love her voice - it's sweet and brings a beautiful authentic emotion to the songs.

ANOUSKA RUANE

Vocals

Anouska sings on our biggest hit so far "About the Girl" (Welcome to Masimo Country, 2003) as well as "Is It Such a Crime" and "The Superman" from the same album. Her beautiful voice also serenades us on "Roads" (Masimo and the Mountains, 2004) which was recorded during the same sessions in South London during the summer of 2003.

LUCY THOUBBORON

Flute

Lovely Lucy plays flute on "Lorenzo" (Masimo and the Mountains, 2003) a song about an old friend from Italy and our larks in the Lakes. We recorded the session using a Boss four-track in an office in central London once the workers had left for the night. It's a magical solo, and brings something really special to one of my favourite songs.
